TÜSEB Attends Online Meeting of the G20 Global Coalition for Local and Regional Production, Innovation, and Equitable Access.

The Health Institutes of Türkiye (TÜSEB) participated on behalf of Türkiye in the Steering Committee Meeting of the 'Global Coalition for Local and Regional Production, Innovation, and Equitable Access' and the official launch of the 'Call for Project Proposals,' established under the G20 2024 Brazilian Presidency and held in Rio de Janeiro on March 24, 2026.

Fatih Karademir, Head of International Relations Department, actively participated online in the negotiations, putting forward TÜSEB’s constructive and guiding contributions during the process of shaping and maturing the project proposal call document. Experts from the TÜSEB Project Management and Support Department, as well as the International Relations Department, were also present at the meeting.

The meeting, organized to address inequalities in access to vaccines, diagnostics, and treatment tools during global health crises, serves as a critical platform for strengthening international collaborations. In this context, TÜSEB has stood out as a key stakeholder by providing active contributions to the development process of the document regarding the Coalition's inaugural call for project proposals.

The Coalition operates in line with the objectives of increasing sustainable access to health technologies, strengthening local and regional production capacities, and reducing foreign dependency in the field of health, particularly in low- and middle-income countries. Within this framework, public-private partnerships, voluntary technology transfer, and knowledge-sharing mechanisms are encouraged.

Türkiye is actively represented in the Steering Committee of the Coalition through the Health Institutes of Türkiye (TÜSEB), and continues to provide strong contributions to the development of international health collaborations through this platform.
