TÜSEB Hosts Technical Meeting to Advance Türkiye-US Health Partnership

Hosted by Health Institutes of Türkiye (TÜSEB), a technical meeting aimed at enhancing health cooperation between Türkiye and the United States was held on June 26, 2026, at TÜSEB Istanbul Koşuyolu Campus.

The meeting brought together the Senior Vice President of the U.S. Chamber of Commerce and representatives of the U.S. healthcare sector with officials from the Republic of Türkiye Ministry of Health and TÜSEB.

This meeting was organized to advance, through concrete steps, the areas of cooperation addressed at the 'Preventive Healthcare Services Meeting,' which was chaired by the Minister of Health, Prof. Kemal Memişoğlu, on April 20, 2026.

During the meeting, discussions focused on Türkiye’s clinical research ecosystem, current incentive mechanisms for clinical trials, opportunities for scientific collaboration, and ongoing initiatives in the fields of genomics, preventive healthcare services, and data-driven health innovation. Furthermore, evaluations were made regarding the more effective promotion of Türkiye’s strategic capacity in clinical research at the international level and the enhancement of partnerships in this domain.

During the discussions, participants exchanged views on enhancing scientific knowledge sharing—primarily in clinical research—and strengthening collaborative opportunities in joint research and innovative health technologies between TÜSEB and international stakeholders.

The meeting is expected to contribute to the advancement of the ongoing constructive dialogue in the healthcare sector between Türkiye and the United States, as well as to Türkiye’s goals of becoming a regional hub for clinical research and health innovation.
