2023 TÜSEB Aziz Sancar Science, TÜSEB Incentive and TÜSEB Special Awards Were Presented
At the ninth Turkish Medical World Congress held this year, TÜSEB Aziz Sancar Science Award, TÜSEB Incentive Award and TÜSEB Special Award, which were presented to distinguished scientists in the field of health sciences and technologies in Türkiye met with their owners. Minister of Health Türkiye Dr. Fahrettin KOCA and President of TÜSEB Prof. Dr. Erhan AKDOĞAN welcomed the distinguished scientists on stage.
Prof. Dr. Ömer ÖZKAN, Professor at Akdeniz University, was awarded the TÜSEB Aziz Sancar Science Award for his work in the fields of reconstructive microsurgery and organ and c omposite tissue transplantation.
Prof. Dr. Banu ONARAL from Drexel University was awarded the TÜSEB Special Award for her work in the fields of functional brain imaging, ultrasound and optical density biomedical signal processing. Since they were abroad, the award was presented to Prof. Dr. Rabia ÇAKIR by proxy.
Five young scientists were deemed worthy of TÜSEB Incentive Awards.

Prof. Dr. Mert GÜR, who won the award based on his studies in the fields of pharmacology and pharmacy, pharmaceutical technology, was deemed worthy and handed over to their proxy, İstanbul Technical University Vice Rector Prof. Dr. Lütfiye DURAK ATA due to the fact that they are currently abroad.
