Strategic Cooperation Step Between TÜSEB and Uzbekistan in Biopharmaceuticals and Health Sciences
Officials from the Health Institutes of Türkiye (TÜSEB) and authorities representing the health and pharmaceutical sectors of Uzbekistan convened in an online meeting held on May 20, 2026.
Fatih Karademir, Head of International Relations Department, along with relevant experts, participated on behalf of TÜSEB. The Uzbekistan side was represented by officials from institutions operating in the health and pharmaceutical sectors.
During the meeting, information was exchanged regarding the ongoing studies of both countries in the fields of health research and biopharmaceuticals. As part of the discussions, research infrastructures, approaches to enhancing scientific capacity, and priority research topics in the field of health were evaluated.
While participants were briefed on the research, development, and innovation activities conducted by TÜSEB, potential cooperation opportunities in the fields of health technologies and scientific research were discussed. Furthermore, views were exchanged regarding academic collaborations, researcher mobility, and opportunities for joint project development.
During the meeting, certain project proposals directed at health research were also evaluated, and mutual assessments were made regarding the continuation of information sharing in the relevant fields.
As a result of the discussions, the parties agreed on maintaining communication and technical-level contacts, evaluating cooperation opportunities, and continuing efforts related to joint activities to be carried out in the upcoming period.
