BIYASAM Training Series – ‘Recombinant DNA Technologies and Cloning Training’ was held.
‘Recombinant DNA Technologies and Cloning Training’ by TÜSEB Türkiye Biotechnology Institute was completed. President of TÜSEB Prof. Dr. Erhan Akdoğan delivered his opening speech of the training, which was held on August 10-11-12, 2022. During his speech, touching on the role and vision of TÜSEB during the outbreak, Akdoğan also noted that one of the aims of TÜSEB Aziz Sancar Research Centre and TÜSEB support programmes are to contribute into health and biotechnology ecosystem in Türkiye to enhance even more. He also stated that the training series organized at Biotechnological Drug and Vaccine R&D Centre (BIYASAM) have been launched with the idea that would serve this purpose. Prod. Dr. Erhan Akdoğan said that thanks to Recombinant DNA Technologies and Molecular Cloning Training, he emphasized to give support academy, public and private sector professionals and university students for R&D and production of biotechnological products such as domestic and national vaccines, biotherapeutics and diagnostic kits in Türkiye. He ended his speech by wishing the training series to be auspicious.
Three-day training organized at Biotechnological Drug and Vaccine R&D Training Centre (TÜSEB-BIYASAM) within TÜSEB Ankara Aziz Sancar Research and Development Centre was provided by researchers, experts and projects personnel from TÜSEB Türkiye Biotechnology Institute. Within the scope of the training, theoretical and practical trainings on cloning recombinant DNA used in vaccine and recombinant protein production systems into expression vectors and bioinformatics tools used during molecular cloning were provided.
