Cooperation Meeting Between TÜSEB and the World Health Organization
On 25 August 2025, a meeting was held in Ankara between the Health Institutes of Türkiye (TÜSEB) and the World Health Organization (WHO) Country Office in Türkiye to discuss opportunities for strengthening current and future cooperation in the field of health.
During the meeting, TÜSEB presented its ongoing research and development activities and shared information about upcoming projects. It was emphasized that innovative approaches in cancer treatment, the development of CAR-T therapies, national vaccine projects, genome research, and ongoing studies in the field of nutrition could contribute to international health policies. The potential for expanding scientific collaboration in the field of Traditional and Complementary Medicine (GETAT) was also discussed.
One of the key agenda items was the advancement of WHO Collaborating Centres (WHO CCs). Both parties underlined the importance of enhancing Türkiye’s global visibility in health research, developing research infrastructures to contribute to international projects, and reinforcing multilateral cooperation through health diplomacy.
This meeting marked a significant step towards further highlighting Türkiye’s strong scientific capacity on the global stage and reaffirming TÜSEB’s leading role in international health cooperation.
