HIMSS + Eurasia Digital Health Conference and Exhibition
HIMSS + Eurasia Digital Health Conference and Exhibition was held in Antalya on 17 – 19 November.
In the conference held by HIMSS (Healthcare Information and Management Systems Society), which was established to ensure the use of information technologies in the delivery and development of healthcare services, health professionals discuss the future of health in the panels.
In the “Has the Age of Robots Begun in Health? Robotic Technologies and the Future of Health” panel where President of TUSEB Prof. Dr. Erhan Akdoğan participated, the current point of robotic technologies, the current situation of robots in the active use of health services and the future of robotic systems were discussed.
In his speech Prof. Dr. Akdoğan included historical processes, he mentioned that the concept of industry 1.0, which started with the invention of electricity, revealed the concept of Industry 2.0 with the invention of electrical machines, and the concept of Industry 3.0 with Robotic Technologies. He also emphasized the importance of Biomechatronics with the expression “The future is hidden in this field in the coming years.” He stated “We need new platforms to gather physicians and engineers to create new stories” and expressed his sincere thanks to HIMSS for such an opportunity.
