Insulin Workshop Was Held
Insulin workshop where the domestic production insulin types required in our country was discussed was held in İstanbul Campus.
Being the keynote speaker of workshop attended by national an international pharmaceutical companies and NGO representatives, Prof. Dr. Adil Mardinoğlu, President of TUSEB, aimed to set a mutual course for domestically-produced Turkish insulin by emphasizing the importane of R & D and P & D studies.
PRof. Dr. Hasan Türkez Secratary General of TUSEB, expressed the importance of possible collaborations and promotions for national and international pharmaceutical companies in domestic production process by mentioning the new missions of TUSEB whose competencies were increased within the frame of 11th Development Plan.
During the workshop, the importance of domesticcation of insulin production, insulin types used and required in our country and their indications, potentials of conventional, 2nd and 3rd generation insulin, investment plans of pharmaceutical companies operating in the related fieldto produce insulin, the importance of technology transfer and possible collaboration models as well as sustainability and pricing issues were discussed indetail.
