Phase-3 Trials of The First Domestic COVID-19 Vaccine TURKOVAC have started
Phase-3 trials of the first domestic inactive COVID-19 Vaccine “TURKOVAC”, cooperating with Ministry of Health, Health Institutes of Turkey (TUSEB) and Erciyes University and developed by Prof. Dr. Aykut Özdarendeli and his team, have started as soon as the first volunteers were vaccinated. The vaccine studies, which has become the corner stone for fighting against the virus, were carried out in coordination and with the support of Ministry of Health and TUSEB since the beginning of pandemic. The first domestic COVID-19 Vaccine “TURKOVAC”, whose scientific infrastructure, technology and every step from R&D to the final product will belong to Turkey, was developed with scientific and financial support of TUSEB and devoted studies of hundreds of stakeholders and scientists.
