Science Women Onstage
The Women Energizing Türkiye Award Programme was held for the fourth time by the Ministry of Energy and Natural Resources in Zorlu Performing Arts Centre with the participation of First Lady Emine Erdoğan. It aims to raise awareness by drawing attention to energy sector where female employment rates increase.
The 2020 and 2022 winners of the “entrepreneurship”, “business world”, “professional”, “academy”, “exemplary company in energy”, “special jury” and “inspiring woman” categories were given their awards.
TURKOVAC Science Women, who made scientific contribution into TURKOVAC, the first domestic and national COVID-19 vaccine of Türkiye developed with cooperation of public, university and private sector were deemed worthy of the “2022 Special Jury Award”.
On behalf of Special Jury Award winners, TÜSEB Deputy President and Director of Türkiye Biotechnology Institute Assoc. Prof. Rabia Çakır Koç received the award from Emine Erdoğan.
