Strategic Visit from TÜSEB Delegation to Samsun: Meetings Held with MEDİKÜM and the Governorship of Samsun to Strengthen the Domestic Health Industry
In line with the 'Innovative Health' vision, Health Institutes of Türkiye (TÜSEB) conducted a field visit to Samsun on April 15-16, 2025, with the aim of increasing domestic production in the health industry and developing strategic collaborations.
During the visit, the delegation, which included Assoc. Prof. Dr. Aziz Küçük, Head of TÜSEB Health Industries Localization and Project Development Department, and Batuhan Yeşilyurt, Head of Project Management and Support Department, first met with Samsun Medical Industry Cluster (MEDİKÜM). In the meetings held, TÜSEB's support mechanisms for R&D and P&D processes, as well as potential areas of cooperation that will contribute to the development of the domestic health industry, were evaluated.
Following MEDİKÜM visit, TÜSEB delegation paid a visit to the Governor of Samsun, Mr. Orhan Tavlı, in his office. During the meeting, Samsun's current capacity in the health industry, domestic production-oriented projects, and regional cooperation opportunities were discussed. Governor Tavlı expressed his satisfaction with TÜSEB's 'Innovative Health' approach and stated that they are open to collaborations aimed at developing the city's potential in this field.
Throughout the program, TÜSEB delegation also conducted field visits to companies operating in areas such as surgical hand instruments, orthopedic products, and medical device consumables. Within this scope, the region's production infrastructure and technological competencies were observed on-site, and evaluations were made regarding the effective implementation of TÜSEB's support at the local level.
This visit to Samsun is considered an important step for TÜSEB in line with its strategic goals of supporting the domestic health industry and laying the foundations for collaborations that will contribute to regional development.
