The first and only Aerospace and Technology Festival of Türkiye – TEKNOFEST, which has been organized since 2018 in order to raise awareness on national manufacturing in technology with the National Technology Move in Turkey and to discover scientists and engineers of the future, was held in Black Sea Region with the participation of stakeholder institution and organizations having massive importance in developing local and national technologies.

With the objective of “development of health sciences and technologies” and with a mission of encouraging and supporting scientific and technological developments, TÜSEB took place with the stand area and second of Artificial Intelligence in Health Competitions in TEKNOFEST Black Sea Region this year thanks to the contributions made into TEKNOFEST 2021, İstanbul. 

Within the scope of TEKNOFEST BLACK SEA REGION, more than 100 competitors from Secondary and Higher education levels attended in 6 competitions of which was held in 3 main categories as “Category of Abdominal Disease Detection via Computer Vision”, “Category of Medical Technologies” and “Category of Development of Artificial Intelligence Based Analysis Methods in Bioinformatics”, in Ordu on July 29 – 31, 2022. In each category, the leading experts evaluated the presentations and projects of competitors. The results were announced at the main ceremony held in Samsun on August 30 – September 4, 2022.

The visitors had an opportunity to experience science and technology thanks to various activities that continued throughout the day at TÜSEB stand area, to obtain further information on the first domestic and national COVID-19 vaccine named TURKOVAC supported by TÜSEB; COVID-19 diagnostic kit DiaKit developed by TÜSEB; and the activities of TÜSEB. 

On the thematic areas set within the scope of festival, TÜSEB academicians delivered various presentations on virtual reality in medical education, medical imaging analysis via artificial intelligence, artificial learning and medical applications.
