The 1st G20 Health Ministerial Meeting was held in Indonesia
The 1st G20 Health Ministerial Meeting and 1st G20 Joint Finance and Health Ministerial Meeting were held with the theme of “Strengthening Global Health Architecture” in Indonesia on June 20 – 21, 2022.
The delegation represented Türkiye was headed by Deputy Minister of Health Assoc. Prof. Tolga Tolunay. The delegation included President of TÜSEB Prof. Dr. Erhan Akdoğan and Head of Relations with International Organizations Department Yusuf Irmak and Hikmet Güner. At the meeting, one health, sharing of genomic data and antimicrobial resistance were discussed.
During Indonesia visit, President of TÜSEB Prof. Dr. Erhan Akdoğan conducted a bilateral meeting with Director General of Pharmaceutical and Medical Devices of the Ministry of Health of Indonesia Lucia Rizka Andalusia. The cooperation regarding TÜSEB and the institutes and the upcoming joint activities primarily TURKOVAC were mentioned during the meeting.
Additionally, the dissemination of TURKOVAC and diagnosis kits developed by TÜSEB are discussed as the main topics of agenda, and bilateral meetings were conducted with various international organizations.
