The 2nd Meeting of the Health Data Dictionary of the Organization of Turkic States Was Held
On March 4, 2025, the online meeting of the Health Data Dictionary of the Organization of Turkic States (OTS) was attended by representatives from Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, Azerbaijan, Uzbekistan, as well as Esra MUŞ, Head of the Standardization and Accreditation Department of the General Directorate of Health Information Systems of the Ministry of Health of Türkiye, and Unit Supervisor Ceyhan Vardar, Fatih KARADEMİR, Head of Foreign Department at Health Institutes of Türkiye, Dr. Mecit YÜZKAT, Researcher at Türkiye Health Data Research and Artificial Intelligence Applications Institute, Dr. Ayşe ERDOĞAN YILDIRIM, Researcher, Dr. Mehmet Emin AKTAN, Researcher, Dr. Soner KOTAN, R&D Specialist, Dr. Emine YAYLALI, Researcher, Dr. Birol YETİM, Researcher at Türkiye Health Policies Institute, and Associate Professor Dr. Özlem ÖZAYDIN, R&D Specialist representing Türkiye Maternal, Child, and Adolescent Health Institute.
The agenda of the meeting included the standardization of health data and the development of digital health systems among member countries. Esra MUŞ, Head of the Standardization and Accreditation Department of the General Directorate of Health Information Systems, and Ceyhan Vardar, Unit Supervisor, shared their experiences on collecting and analyzing health data online through the e-Nabız system. Kazakhstan and Kyrgyzstan stated that they are continuing their health data management efforts and aim to create a common terminology.
During the meeting, the importance of structured data and the need to establish a unified health terminology were emphasized. It was stated that experience sharing should continue to strengthen cooperation among member countries.
It was concluded that increased joint efforts are needed to make progress in health data management and digitalization.
