The Innovative Transformation in Emergency and Disaster Health Technologies: The Role of TÜSEB
Prof. Dr. Mehmet Birhan YILMAZ, Vice President of Health Institutes of Türkiye (TÜSEB), delivered the opening speech at the “Rising Career Steps in Industry Summit – ENYÜKA 2025” event held at Alanya Cultural Centre on Saturday, April 12, 2025.
In his speech, Prof. Dr. Mehmet Birhan YILMAZ shared TÜSEB's strategic position in the health industry and particularly the innovative studies conducted in the fields of emergency and disaster health with the participants. He emphasized that TÜSEB's vision is to develop sustainable, domestic, and national health technologies and to effectively implement these technologies in disaster and emergency scenarios.
Stating that 'Producing technology-supported solutions in emergency and disaster health services is no longer a choice but a necessity, and as TÜSEB, we are at the centre of this transformation,' Prof. Dr. YILMAZ also addressed young engineers, scientists, and entrepreneurs in the health sector. He emphasized that TÜSEB establishes a strong bridge between universities, research centres, and the industry through the support mechanisms it offers.
Following Prof. Dr. YILMAZ, Burhan ALBAY, Project Coordinator at the TÜSEB Department of Health Industries Localization and Project Development, also took the floor and emphasized the importance TÜSEB attaches to the technology-oriented project ideas of young people in particular. He stated that interdisciplinary collaboration and an innovative perspective will play a critical role in shaping the future of health solutions.
In line with its goal of developing domestic and innovative solutions in health technologies, TÜSEB will resolutely continue its support for organizations that bring together young people, academia, and industry under the same roof.
