The Protocol Rules Training Provided to TÜSEB Ankara Team

Under the coordination of TÜSEB Foreign Affairs Department, an in-service training program titled “Protocol Rules” was conducted on May 28, 2025, at Aziz Sancar Research Centre for TÜSEB’s Ankara-based team. The program was organized within the framework of the 2025 General Plan for Civil Servant Training and the Ministry of Health of the Republic of Türkiye’s In-Service Training Regulation. The primary objective of the training was to raise awareness that protocol rules are not limited to official ceremonies or international contacts but also hold significant importance in the daily practices of public service.

The opening remarks of the program were delivered by Fatih Karademir, Head of Foreign Affairs Department. In his speech, Mr. Karademir highlighted the role of protocol in public service and emphasized the importance of proper representation both at the individual and institutional levels.

The guest speaker of the training was Ambassador Alp Ay, who has served within the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Türkiye for many years, including as Türkiye’s Ambassador to Angola from January 15, 2019, to March 13, 2023. He currently serves as the Special Representative for Somalia-Somaliland and as Ambassadorial Advisor at the Diplomacy Academy of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs. Ambassador Alp Ay shared his extensive knowledge and experience in protocol and diplomacy with the participants, making a significant contribution to the training program.

Throughout the training, the role of protocol rules in institutional and individual representation was thoroughly addressed. At the conclusion of the program, participants were conveyed the message that these rules, which reinforce respect, order, and institutional prestige, contribute significantly to TÜSEB’s standing in both national and international arenas.
