The Second Meeting of the Heads of National Medicine Regulatory Authorities of OIC Member States Was Held
The Second Meeting of the Heads of National Medicine Regulatory Authorities of OIC Member States was held in İstanbul with the participation of the members from 40 countries on September 5 -7, 2022.
Deputy Minister of Health Assoc. Prof. Dr. Tolga Tolunay delivered the opening speech of the meeting, and Director of TÜSEB Türkiye Biotechnology Institute Assoc. Prof. Dr. Rabia Çakır Koç delivered the presentation titled “Turkish Covid-19 Vaccine Experience and National Manufacturing Site” at the session titled “Strategies for Development, Production and Management of Vaccines and Future Expectations”. Director of Türkiye Vaccine Institute Prof. Dr. Ateş Kara took place as a moderator at the session titled “Country Strategies for Regulatory Preparedness and Intervention to Public Health Emergencies: The Role of MRNAs in Combating Pandemics”, and also delivered the presentation titled “Clinical Trials” at the session titled “Regulation on Clinical Trials in OIC Member States”.
Our first local and national COVID-19 vaccine TURKOVAC supported by TÜSEB and COVID-19 Diagnostic Kit TÜSEB DiaKit developed by TÜSEB and also the other activities of TÜSEB were introduced and shared with the participants.
