Training Program Conducted by TÜSEB Technology Transfer Office (TTO) for City Hospital TTO Branch Personnel.
The training program organized by the TÜSEB Technology Transfer Office (TTO) for personnel serving in TTO branch offices within City Hospitals was successfully conducted online between January 19–20, 2026.
The two-day intensive training program aimed to enhance the knowledge and competencies of the TTO branch staff in the fields of intellectual and industrial property rights, entrepreneurship, and innovation. Furthermore, the program was designed to contribute to the efficient and effective execution of Technology Transfer Office activities across all branches.
The training program commenced with the opening remarks of Assoc. Prof. Zeliha Özdemir Köken, Head of the TÜSEB Technology Transfer Office. On the first day of the program, TÜSEB’s Innovative Health Model, alongside the mission, vision, and core activities of the TÜSEB TTO, were discussed in detail. Furthermore, fundamental concepts regarding intellectual and industrial property rights (IPR)—including patents, utility models, trademarks, designs, and geographical indications—were presented. Practical training sessions were conducted on the duties and activities of the IPR Unit, intellectual product application and evaluation processes, and patent landscaping/search techniques.
The second day of the program focused on the transition process from concept to product, fundamental approaches in entrepreneurship and innovation, and the strategic duties and activities of the TÜSEB TTO Entrepreneurship and Innovation Unit. Information regarding TÜSEB project supports was also shared with the participants. Additionally, the sessions included practical training on entrepreneur application and evaluation processes through sample application forms, as well as comprehensive briefings on the administrative operations managed within the TTO.
The training program featured comprehensive presentations by Assoc. Prof. Yeliz Doğan Merih, Coordinator of the TÜSEB TTO Entrepreneurship and Innovation Unit; Asst. Prof. Hasan Karaboğa, Coordinator of the TÜSEB TTO Intellectual and Industrial Property Rights Unit; Dr. Bengü Aktaş and Kübra Nur Menengiç (MSc), R&D Specialists at TÜSEB TTO; Bilge Uğraş (MSc), Researcher at TÜSEB TTO; and Onur Çelik, Project Design and Development Coordinator.
This highly productive training program is aimed at providing significant contributions to the structural establishment of Technology Transfer Office branches within city hospitals and accelerating their strategic operational activities.
