Turkey – United Kingdom Health and Business Forum

The "Turkey-United Kingdom Health Business Forum" hosted by the Ministry of Health and the United Kingdom Embassy and organized by the International Health Services Inc. (USHAŞ) was held in Istanbul. In the forum hosted by Deputy Minister of Health Assoc. Prof. Dr. Tolga Tolunay, there were senior government officials from the Ministry of Health and the UK as well as public and private sector representatives from both countries to discuss investment and cooperation opportunities.

President of TUSEB Prof Dr Erhan Akdoğan, Vice President of TUSEB and Director of Turkish Biotechnology Institute Assoc. Prof. Dr. Rabia Çakır Koç, Director of Turkish Health Data Research and Artificial Intelligence Applications Institute Prof Dr Songül Varlı and one of the researchers of Turkish Biotechnology Institute Dr İmren Esentürk Güzel made contributions with their presentations.  

In the “Genomic Studies” panel titled United Kingdom – Turkey Collaboration in Digital Health in which President of TUSEB Prof Dr Erhan Akdoğan and Director of Turkish Biotechnology Institute Assoc. Prof. Dr. Rabia Çakır Koç attended, representatives of the United Kingdom were informed about the duties of TÜSEB and current scientific studies such as digital technologies, genome research and pharmaceuticals. 

In the Turkey-United Kingdom Health Business Forum, new investment and cooperation opportunities in health were discussed in order to further the strong position and potential of both countries in health services.
