Türkiye–Russia Health Cooperation Meeting Held at TÜSEB Koşuyolu Campus
September 18, 2025, Istanbul — At the official meeting held at Koşuyolu Campus of Health Institutes of Türkiye (TÜSEB), opportunities for bilateral cooperation in the field of health between Türkiye and the Russian Federation were discussed. Representing the Republic of Türkiye, Deputy Minister of Health Assoc. Prof. Dr. Şuayip Birinci, President of Turkish Medicines and Medical Devices Agency Prof. Dr. Ahmet Ayar, President of TÜSEB Prof. Dr. Ümit Kervan, Head of TÜSEB Foreign Affairs Department Fatih Karademir, and Advisor to the Deputy Minister Mehmet Akif Albayrak attended the meeting.
The delegation of the Russian Federation was headed by Deputy Minister of Industry and Trade – State Secretary Roman Andreevich Chekusov. He was accompanied by Deputy to the Deputy Minister of Industry and Trade of the Russian Federation Yasmin Dmitrievna Listopad; Head of the Federal Service for Surveillance in Healthcare Alla Vladimirovna Samoylova; Head of the Department of State Control and Registration of Medical Devices Georgiy Evgenyevich Sokolov; Head of Department at the Russian Institute for Standardization Elena Vladimirovna Kostileva; Türkiye Representative of the Russian Export Center JSC Ilya Ruslanovich Chistyakov; Export Director of “Petr Telegin” Ltd. Artem Nikolaevich Arkhipov; Commercial Director of “Neirosoft” Ltd. Nikolay Aleksandrovich Smirnov; Director of AVM Services Company Mehmet Yağmur; Trade Representative of the Russian Federation in the Republic of Türkiye Aydar Apopovich Gashigullin; Deputy Trade Representative Aleksandr Valeryevich Bakustin; Consultant of the Istanbul Office Denis Kirillovich Simonov; and Senior Expert Darya Igorevna Matrenkina.
Within the scope of the meeting, the potential for cooperation in the field of health between the two countries was comprehensively discussed. In particular, exchanges of information took place in areas such as medical devices, pharmaceuticals, and medical products, while updates were received regarding the current status of Russian companies’ products in Türkiye. Opportunities for collaboration in joint product development, clinical research, and regulatory processes were also discussed.
As a result of the discussions, it was decided to establish a technical working group between TÜSEB, Turkish Medicines and Medical Devices Agency (TITCK), and the relevant institutions and organizations in Russia, with the aim of assessing the existing products in Türkiye and taking concrete steps towards the launch of joint product development and clinical research projects between the two countries.
Within this framework, the objective is to strengthen sustainable, constructive, and multifaceted cooperation in the field of health between Türkiye and Russia, and to promote scientific and technological partnerships.
