TUSEB and Azerbaijani Board of Health Meeting
Within the scope of Phase – III studies of TURKOVAC abroad, President of TUSEB Prof. Dr. Erhan Akdoğan, Director of Turkish Vaccine Institute Prof. Dr. Ateş Kara and Head of Foreign Affairs Department Fatih Karademir got together with the authorities in friendly country Azerbaijan. First meeting was held with Azerbaijani Deputy Minister of Health Viktor Gasimov, President of Ethical Committee Prof. Eldar Garayev, Director of National Scientific Research Medical Prophylactic Institute Prof. Adil Allahverdiyev, Head of International Co-operation and Public Relations Emin Mamedov, Deputy Head of International Cooperation and Public Relations Department Dr. Gulsum Gurbanova. Second meeting was held with Acting Minister of Health Dr. Teymur Musayevin.
Azerbaijani authorities were informed about on-going Phase – III studies of our first domestic COVID-19 vaccine TURKOVAC. At the meeting, the course on Phase – III studies planned to be carried out in Azerbaijan was set.
President of TUSEB Prof. Dr. Erhan Akdoğan and the accompanying delegation visited Turkey’s Ambassador to Baku Assoc. Dr. Cahit Bağcı in his office, as well as the meetings in Azerbaijan. The Ambassador was informed on the TURKOVAC’s clinical trials planned to be carried out in Azerbaijan.
