TÜSEB Endograft Science Board and Team conducted site visits in Istanbul.

The Endograft Science Board, established within Health Institutes of Türkiye (TÜSEB), and the R&D experts from Health Industries Localization and Project Development Department (SEYDB) undertook strategic visits to Türkiye's leading medical technology companies and research centres in Istanbul on April 17-18, 2025.
In this context, Simeks Medical, Boğaziçi University Targeted Therapy Technologies Centre (HTTM), Koç Medical/Bıçakçılar, and Alvimedica, key stakeholders in the sector, were visited at their premises.

On the first day, during the visit held at Simeks Medical facilities, the company's production infrastructure, export rate, and open approach to innovation were evaluated. On the same day, at Boğaziçi University HTTM, the imaging technology infrastructure, 3D printing technologies, advanced research conducted in the field of medical technologies, and the cleanroom infrastructure were examined.

On the second day, the facilities of Koç Medical/Bıçakçılar and Alvimedica were visited. General information was received regarding the companies' domestic production infrastructure, automation systems, R&D activities, and MDR compliance processes. Evaluations were made concerning the technical capacity for endograft production.

During the meetings, it was emphasized that Türkiye's production infrastructure and research potential in the field of medical devices are strengthening, and that public support is of great importance for the sustainability of domestic production in strategic product groups. Specifically, for endografts, the aim is to further advance production capabilities, R&D, and the potential for public-private sector collaboration.
