TÜSEB President Attended the Introduction Meeting of Ankara University Stem Cell and Oncology Research and Application Excellence Centre
Prof. Dr. Ümit KERVAN, President of Health Institutes of Türkiye (TÜSEB), attended the pre-evaluation and introduction meeting for the Stem Cell, Oncology Research, and Application Excellence Centre, which will be established at Ankara University's Bağlıca Campus.
At the event, where the opening speeches were delivered by Dr. Ümit DERELİ, Secretary General of the Association of Research-Based Pharmaceutical Companies (AİFD), Prof. Dr. Ahmet AYAR, President of Turkish Medicines and Medical Devices Agency (TİTCK), Prof. Dr. Necdet ÜNÜVAR, Rector of Ankara University, and Prof. Dr. Ümit KERVAN, President of TÜSEB, Prof. Dr. KERVAN stated, “The development of innovative healthcare technologies, supporting manufacturing processes, and implementing protocols that strengthen cooperation between the two parties are of great importance in achieving Türkiye’s goals and positioning the country in a stronger position within the global healthcare sector.”
Following the opening, the participants toured the Stem Cell and Oncology Research and Application Excellence Centre. During the visit, detailed information was provided about the centre’s infrastructure, research facilities, and ongoing studies on oncology and stem cell therapies.
The event continued at Yüzüncü Yıl Conference Hall located at Ankara University’s Beşevler Campus with a presentation by Vice Rector Prof. Dr. Kaan ORHAN. Following the presentation by the Vice Rector on the research activities conducted at the centre, the event concluded. Participants regarded the event as a significant step in the fields of healthcare and research.
